What is Wealth Building Rewards (Roots) and how do I sign up?
Wealth Building Rewards is an optional resident benefit program from Roots that helps residents build strong financial habits through short money lessons, rewards for saving/investing, and credit‑building tools. To learn more and enroll, visit our program page. -
Is Wealth Building Rewards required? What does it cost?
No. Participation is optional. If you choose to enroll, the program is $10 per month for each enrolled resident and is added to your monthly rent charges. The program also promotes “up to $560/year in value” for enrolled members. -
How do I pay rent?
Pay rent through the Resident Portal. Log in to make a payment, set up autopay, view your balance, and review your payment history. -
Do I need Renter’s Insurance?
Yes, we require all Residents to obtain a Renter’s Insurance Policy. These are often between $10-$20/month and depending on the plan will protect you and your property in instances of injury, theft, fire, etc. -
What utilities am I responsible for paying?
Typically, all utilities, which can include Water, Trash, Sewage, Electricity, Gas, TV, Cable, Internet, Phone, Alarm, and other secondary services. HOA fees are typically covered by the landlord. You are responsible to switch these services into your name.Utilities covered by the landlord will be stated in your lease agreement.
